Systems Services

JYW can complement the skills in your business by providing best practice ITS systems engineering expertise tailored to suit your needs.

From systems planning through specification , design , project management and quality assurance to configuration and change management , JYW has high level expertise that can help you deliver your complex Intelligent Transport and related Mechanical and Electrical systems. We have Registered Professional Engineers in areas of electrical, electronics, Information Technology acting as our customer's advocates in the delivery of Tolling , Motorway Management , Rapid Transit , Traffic and Incident Management Systems throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

JYW is able to provide in-depth system analyses and critical evaluation services for M&E and ITS systems, with which we have many years of combined experience at the detailed implementation level. We provide complete assessments of any ITS system, including the capability to drill down to source code, database and hardware level, doing performance, financial or operational assessment and quality assurance as needed.

As appropriate, this includes systems engineering services (such as FMECA analyses) to aid with on-going operational planning for failure scenarios, maintenance requirements, continuity planning and financial modeling, etc. For Toll operations , JYW maintains a standard reference architecture and model against which we benchmark actual implementations to provide a standardized view of performance. This view ranges from the overall financial performance all the way down to individual component technical performance.

JYW provides model based system engineering framework

We provide Model Based System Engineering capability that can establish and maintain a product design and systems engineering management baseline within the systems engineering Integrated Decision Database (IDD) tool. The IDD provides a repository to capture the outputs of the analysis and design activities against a framework of two disjoint but interrelated models:
a) An Operational model that reflects the Users needs; and
b) A System model that captures the implementation.
These two models enable both a clear separation of concerns between the Operational and System domain while supporting traceability between these two models.

This framework provides a powerful environment to support, track and manage all system lifecycle activities against the tailored reference model capturing the needs of a specific ITS operations business that is free of any propriety or system implementation constraint. These reference baselines provide a context for all other engineering activities such as risk and safety, decision making and tracking and V&V maximising the return on investment s while minimising the full cost of ownership over the system lifecycle.
